NEW SONG!
Allison is so excited to show off her first original recording of "The Poem." Special thanks to the musical producer Andrew Nguyen and beautiful back up singer Rebecca Land. Check out the audio section for the story behind the piece!
"Not only is her voice powerful and expressive, but her presence is riveting. She truly mesmerizes the audience."
"Her pitch, intonation, and phrasing are flawless."
"She is talented, energetic, creative, dedicated, hard-working, and caring."
Outside of school, Allison sang professionally for church services, weddings, and as a guest vocalist with the Bay Area's De Anza Daddios big band. She also completed the last four consecutive levels in her training's Certificate of Merit program under the instruction of Laurie Johnson.
Allison currently resides in Southern California where she attends Cal State Fullerton to work towards her Bachelors in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance under the instruction of Patricia Prunty. She began singing first soprano in her college's well known University Singers group as a freshman and continues to participate in it with the excitement of their upcoming tour to Germany and Austria in the summer of 2012.
Allison currently sings at the Christian Science Church of Laguna Niguel and works as a private voice and piano teacher to children of all ages.
Having both parents as professional musicians, Allison has been exposed to music and the arts since a very young age. Her musical endeavors began by learning to play piano from her mother and picking up clarinet and alto saxophone in junior high and high school. Always having a love for singing, she recorded her first album when she was thirteen as a wedding demo and her next album, entitled "The Healing Heart," at the age of fourteen. It was then that she began her classical training in vocal technique.
Allison was an active student at her high school in Northern California. She sang in the auditioned touring Madrigals choir, was clarinet section leader of the competitive marching band, danced as a member of the Advanced Dance Spectrum, and was selected as a high school Ambassador. She also performed in several musical theatre productions such as "The Wiz," "West Side Story," and "Aida." Her most inspiring and educational experience was performing the role of Diana Morales in her high school's production of "A Chorus Line."
